We just wanted to thank all of the volunteers who’ve been out on the Catamount Trail recently helping us begin the clean up the trail corridor after the heavy snows made many sections impassable. These images show the condition of Section 17 and were taken by Sarah Cunningham. Dean Bloch is the trail chief in this area and had a crew consisting of Eric Bishop, Sam Glaser, Tom McElhaney, Sarah Cunningham and Wendy Leeds helping this past Sunday, and has another, completely different crew coming out this coming Sunday.
We’ve said it before, but we say it again… We have the best volunteers. You guys are awesome and we wish there was more we could do to let you know how amazing we know you guys are! Thank you!
Now, there is still a lot of trail work that needs to be done to return the trail to the immaculate condition it was in prior to the storm. If you’re interested in helping out there are more trail work days scheduled. View The List Here.
Thank you to everyone that has been out in the woods with loppers and saws, and to everyone that help spread word of our need for volunteers. The community has really come out to help us and we appreciate it very, very much.
Happy Winter!
