Come work at the CTA, and help us grow the sport of backcountry skiing, protect trails and mountain lands, and expand access to the outdoors! We are currently seeking both a Communications and Engagement Manager and a Youth Programs Coordinator to join our small team.
Current open positions:
The Youth Programs Coordinator plays a leading role in running the CTA’s statewide youth programs, which help over 2,000 Vermont youth learn to ski each winter. These incredibly impactful programs are condensed into a compact winter calendar to take advantage the best snow conditions, which requires the Youth Programs Coordinator to work significant hours during the months of January and February while running programs; with a more relaxed schedule outside of winter. Our peak program season runs for seven weeks starting in early January, with program preparation in November and December and program wrap up in March and April. In the off-season, the Youth Programs Coordinator helps put on the Race to the Top of Vermont, our largest annual Youth Programs fundraising event, furthers program development, and develops new partnerships to grow and sustain current and future programs. There is the potential for significant flexibility within the position during the off-season.
Communications and Engagement Manager
The Communications and Engagement Manager leads the CTA’s efforts to connect with the backcountry ski community in Vermont, and the CTA’s 2500 members, through communications, events, and programming. This position is responsible for the CTA’s digital and print communications, and works with the Executive Director to develop strategies to increase engagement and support for the CTA. The Communications and Events Manager also organizes CTA tours and events to build engagement with the backcountry skiing community and further the CTA’s mission of expanding access to Vermont’s backcountry.
Thank you for your interest in the CTA. Please contact us at jobs@catamounttrail.org with any questions.
