We are happy to report that the 2015 Ski Cubs Program is well into its second week!
Last Thursday, 33 students strapped on skis at Sleepy Hollow Ski Center. The sun was out and an eager crew of 5th and 6th graders were soon zipping around. We heard great stories about Ski Cubs alumni who had passed the torch to their younger siblings. It was an energetic day, and we’ll be back tomorrow for another round.
On Saturday, another 26 students gathered at Bolton Valley Nordic Center for the kickoff of our weekend Ski Cubs program. The day started off at a bone-chilling -10 degrees, but we were rewarded with lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures later in the morning. Representing several Burlington-area organizations, these skiers were also quick to learn the basics. Once everyone was fitted, we trooped outside to test our ski legs on snow. Here are some pictures that capture the mood of the day!
