BACKGROUND: Since the fall of 2013, a dedicated group of backcountry skiers and riders in Vermont has been working with the Catamount Trail Association (CTA) to explore the idea a newly envisioned coalition, the Vermont Backcountry Alliance (VTBC), working in close collaboration with the CTA. In partnership with the CTA and a growing list of individuals, organizations and businesses around the state, VTBC aims to be a unified voice for Vermont’s backcountry and human-powered skiing and riding community.

Also, we’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the VTBC and Vermont backcountry. So, join the discussion on the VTBC Facebook and Twitter pages, too. If you have any questions about the VTBC, please contact us via email at brian@vtbc.org. Thanks!
