With the inevitable shift from summer to fall – when we all start to dream of deep powder turns and frost on our eyelashes – comes a change here in the CTA office. We send off Laura Koloski, who has been the Americorps member with us for the past year and welcome in Justin Geibel. As Laura heads west to Colorado we wish her the best of luck and many many bluebird powder days in the beautiful Rockies.
I am extremely excited to be a part of CTA for this year, and thrilled to be back here in Vermont. After a few years working in Colorado as a Park Ranger and outdoor educator, my wife and I have returned to Vermont with great memories, a new appreciation for avalanche safety, and a renewed passion for sharing outdoor experiences with our communities. It is an exciting time here at CTA and I hope I can lend my experiences and knowledge to the team, and I hope to get to know some of the wonderful CTA members and supporters through out this year.
