With the inevitable shift from summer to fall – when we all start to dream of deep powder turns and frost on our eyelashes – comes a change here in the CTA office. We send off Andy Wood, who has been the Americorps member with us for the past year and welcome in Laura Koloski. While Andy’s success, enthusiasm, and good humor have left rather large ski-boots to fill, Laura promises to fit her noticeably smaller feet in with layer upon layer of thick wool socks!
I’m beyond excited to spend this upcoming year with the Catamount Trail Association! It will be a great opportunity to learn from such a tight-knit community that is so passionate about outdoor exploration in Vermont. I have always reveled in the fact that here in Vermont I can step out my back door and lose myself in the beauty of the land… and sometimes just get lost. I look forward to sharing my passion with others in the community, learning the inner-workings of a non-profit, working with the SkiCubs program, and meeting many of you out on the trail or at one of our events. So here’s to hoping we have endless days of fresh powder and bluebird skies this upcoming ski season.
