At the end of this month Backcountry Magazine, in association with GORE-TEX and Voilé, will return to Smugglers’ Notch Resort on February 27-28 as part of their annual BASECAMP Tour.
At the Smuggs’ BASECAMP stop, Backcountry Magazine staff will showcase the newest equipment, including skis, skins, splitboards, beacons, shovels, probes and airbag packs, all in a yurt-based setting. On Saturday at 5 p.m., BASECAMP hosts a huge party and HUGHER raffle at the Brewster River Pub and Brewery with the proceeds benefitting the Vermont Backcountry Alliance, IAN Fund and Cambridge Area Rotary’s Winter Wellness Days.

Catamount Trail Association and VTBC representatives will be on hand all weekend helping out with the festivities and sharing info about current projects and events. We will also be selling raffle tickets for the giant raffle on Saturday night. Word is BC Mag will be giving away a ton of clothing, multiple pairs of skis, boots and bindings, and all kinds of other gear! You don’t have to be present to win, but you do need to purchase a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets are $10 and will be available on-site, or you can purchase yours in advanced online.
