Let your voice be heard!
The Town of West Windsor and conservation partners working to buy the former Ascutney Mountain Resort, (the Trust for Public Land and Upper Valley Land Trust), need to hear your feedback regarding proposed management and future uses.
The current management proposal calls for continuing the existing non-motorized trail network, with the potential for expanding the network for hiking, mountain biking and skiing, and some dedicated trails for horseback riding. Some of the higher elevation ski trails will be allowed to regenerate, while other will be kept open as glades for folks wishing to skin up and ski or ride down. The lower slopes are also going to be kept clear for low-key ski adventures.
Two public meetings are scheduled, on January 26th and Feb 5th, both at 6:30 in the West Windsor Town Hall. All interested parties welcome. You do not need to be a resident of West Windsor to weigh in on this planning process.
