Put down your guidebooks and maps, pause the pre-season planning for this year’s perfect tour, stop hovering over your freshly waxed and sharpened skis, and come join friends of the Catamount Trail for an art show silent auction and cocktail hour following the CTA annual meeting at the GMC headquarters in Waterbury Center on November 14th!
A brief business meeting will commence at 3 pm. At 4 pm Pavel Cenkl will offer a special presentation on climate resilience, our roles as athletes in the ecological system, and his story of running 150 miles across Iceland with reflections on our relationship with the environment. Afterwards, grab a drink and some light snacks and check out the art on display. All bidding will close at 5:30 pm with winners announced soon after. Note: The event dinner has been cancelled in favor of a social hour.
Local area artists inspired by Vermont winters and the Catamount Trail have generously donated 15 originals and prints. Whether you are looking for something to liven up a lonely wall in your house, a thoughtful gift for the holidays, or a piece that captures the essence of the Catamount Trail, join us us to appreciate Vermont’s local talent on November 14th. All art will be open to viewing beginning at 3pm the day of the event. Here is a sneak preview of some of what will be on display for the silent auction:

“Mansfield in Late Afternoon” Monique Dewyea
“Snowflake Thermometer” Dorothy Wallace-Senft
