The Backcountry Film Festival is a year-round, community program presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance that brings messages relevant to WWA’s mission and on-going stewardship, policy and advocacy initiatives throughout every season. A collage of human-powered stories and backcountry-inspired experiences, BCFF brings wild conversations and inspires action to communities that celebrate the present while looking towards the future.
Every winter, BCFF tours 100+ cities and is hosted by local retailers, grassroots partners, outdoor affinity groups, and many more community organizations. Funds raised stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education & avalanche/safety programs, and to raise awareness of winter management issues.
This year the CTA and in partnership with the Southern Vermont Trails Association, the Outdoor Gear Exchange, the Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition, and the Talta Lodge will be offering four different opportunities to take in the 2022 Backcountry Film Fest!
