The Backcountry Film Festival is a year-round, community program presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance that brings messages relevant to WWA’s mission and on-going stewardship, policy and advocacy initiatives throughout every season. A collage of human-powered stories and backcountry-inspired experiences, BCFF brings wild conversations and inspires action to communities that celebrate the present while looking towards the future.
Every winter, BCFF tours 100+ cities and is hosted by local retailers, grassroots partners, outdoor affinity groups, and many more community organizations. Funds raised stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education & avalanche/safey programs, and to raise awareness of winter management issues.
This year the CTA and in partnership with the Mad River Backcountry Coalition (MRVBC) will be premiering the 2021 Backcountry Film Festival at 7:00pm at the Big Pic Theatre (Map) in Waitsfield, VT on Friday, November 12th.
