We were delighted to see so much snow in Vermont last week, however, the trail corridor is virtually impassable in several areas of the state due to the weight of the snow on the surrounding trees.
We have scheduled some Emergency Clean-Up Days in the next few weeks and we need your help! You don’t need any previous experience, just a willingness to take a walk in the snowy Vermont woods with a hand saw and some loppers to help clear the trail. Please take a look at the listings below and be in touch with the relevant Trail Chief if you are able to help.
If there is a particular section you are available to help with but you don’t see a scheduled work-day, please refer to this List of Trail Sections & Trail Chiefs. Contact the appropriate Trail Chief to determine how you can help. They will certainly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for taking some time to assist us in reclaiming the trail for the season. Remember, doing trail work is good for our collective snow karma!
