The VTBC and the Catamount Trail Association (CTA), our parent organization, work closely with the Rochester Areas Sports Trails Alliance (RASTA), which is also a pilot chapter of the CTA/VTBC. RASTA is managing several new backcountry skiing and riding zones in the Rochester, VT region, and is seeking volunteer help with the development and management of a new RASTA backcountry zone within the Braintree Mountain Forest area this May and June. Details are below, and feel free to spread the word.
If you can’t volunteer time, please consider joining RASTA or otherwise supporting the CTA/VTBC, too.
Glading work DAYS at Braintree Mountain Forest (BMF)
Sunday May 31st, June 7th and June 14th 2015
YES more glades!!!! and we need your help! The plan is to add two additional zones off of Skidoo Mountain to the skiers left of the existing zone that will end at the Bell Gates Cabin. We will be meeting at the intersection of Larocque Rd. and Riford Brook Rd. at 8 am. RSVP with Zac at zac@jsfreeman.com

Please bring any clearing tools you may have, small chainsaws, hand loppers, nips & hand saws. Be sure to bring something to eat and drink too. Also wear boots (not shoes), pants & gloves and if you bring a chainsaw, chaps & helmet are a must, thank you!
