Keeping the Catamount Trail in good shape is a big project! Every year volunteers pitch in to help maintain 300+ miles of trail or help support our Chapters with backcountry zones. Whether you join us for a one day or many, your involvement goes a long way! Bring a friend, give back to the trails you enjoy, and help ensure that skiers and riders have a great experience on the trail and beyond!
Fall Trail Work Days
Join CTA’s Trail Chiefs and other volunteers in our annual effort to clear the Catamount Trail of blow-downs, branches, and brush. Fall trail work days are announced in late summer each year. You’ll need lunch, water, long pants, work gloves, hiking boots, a warm layer, and a pair of loppers or a handsaw. Pack or wear blaze orange as many of these dates occur during hunting season.
