2019 Vermont Overnight Tours

 

Intro to Winter Camping in the Bolton Backcountry
Beginner-Intermediate – Saturday, January 19 (backup Saturday, February 2)
A one-night ski or snowshoe overnight with a limit of 8 people. Participants will divide a 10-person expedition tent amongst them and snowshoe or ski uphill 1-2 miles to tent site. No prior winter camping experience required but must have sleeping bag, stove, food, powerful headlamp with fresh batteries and all clothing necessary for temperatures down to -10 degrees. Trip cancels if forecast is below -10 overnight.

Overnight at Bryant Cabin (Bolton)
Saturday, March 23
Enjoy an overnight at one of the GMC’s newly renovated cabins.  Ski in and out together and share an evening meal and breakfast. Group gear will be divided amongst the participants when we pack up at the ski center. Cost $15 per person (for food and cabin rental). 2-day Bolton Valley pass required (not in the $15 fee).

Advanced – Friday April 5 through Sunday, April 7 (backup April 26 – 28)

Participants require sleeping bag, stove, food, powerful headlamp with new batteries and all clothing necessary for temperatures down to -10 degrees. Trip cancels if forecast is below -10 overnight.
