“Our students were able to experience a new, unique form of exercise that encouraged patience with one another and with themselves, commitment (to keep attending even when it was VERY cold), and pride in gaining new skills.”
-Group Chaperone

“I love XC skiing and enjoy teaching and hanging out with kids. It was great to get to know the kids, form a community, and watch everyone get steadier and more confident on skis and with the group.”

“Super put together and friendly! Great with the kids.”
-Group Chaperone

“One of our students was terrified on her first day of ski cubs. She was crying and wanted to quit. With the gentle help of the volunteers, she was eventually able to get her skis on, and even did a small loop around the upper area. By the end of our 5 weeks, this same student was leading our group up and down blue circle trails- laughing and smiling the whole time. Her parents were amazed and thrilled to see their daughter… participating in such a unique activity.”
-Group Chaperone

“Was a ton of fun and I enjoyed working with all of the instructors and chaperones…. A wonderful experience!”
-Volunteer Instructor

“These kids are incredible! I love working them and they always put a smile on my face. Even on the coldest day they were so excited to get out and ski. Even when they were struggling to get up a hill or scared to go down a hill, they still did it – and with a BIG smile on their faces! I don’t think I ever heard anyone complain about not wanting to be there. They were all so eager to learn and get out on the trails each time. Their excitement was infectious!”
-Volunteer Instructor

“I loved the experience! It was helpful to go for more than one day, and I also loved getting to ski with different skill-level groups on different days.”
-Volunteer Instructor

“(The CTA) was great at keeping everyone updated and was very helpful when I first called about the program. I felt that (they) did a great job coordinating everything and made it easy to have a good and safe time skiing.”
