Lunch & Refreshments
In the afternoon Bolton will fire up the grill and will have food available onsite. Also, Lost Nation Brewing is providing the refreshments and proceeds will go to support the Vermont Backcountry Alliance and Catamount Trail Association.
We will be offering regular Uphill 101 courses throughout the day, as well as a splitboard obstacle course, various backcountry tours, and a raffle.
Uphill 101: This brief instructional session will take you on a short tour around Bolton where you will get to see what it’s like to earn your turn. We will share some tips on setting up your board, skinning up-hill, and provide you with some pointers to help you get the most out of your next uphill adventure.
Obstacle Course: Burton Snowboards will be organizing a fun and challenging obstacle race which will open at 2pm. Everyone and anyone can come out and give it a shot and the fastest times will win bragging rights and maybe a little something special from our sponsors. There will be uphill and downhill components and we promise this will be the most fun you’ve had on your board all season.
Backcountry Tour Schedule: During the day we will have information available about short tours in the Bolton BC so you can get out and explore. Longer tours will also be available Saturday and Sunday Morning… see schedule.
Raffle: At the end of the day we will raffle off a selection of prizes donated by our sponsors. The money raised by the raffle will go to support the activities of the Vermont Backcountry Alliance.
There is no fee to attend demo or participate at this event. You will however need to purchase a Nordic Ticket ($17) to access the backcountry if you don’t have a season pass.
